Il est tr\u00e8s pris\u00e9 pour sa r\u00e9sistance m\u00e9canique, sa tenue aux produits chimiques et sa r\u00e9sistance aux hautes temp\u00e9ratures (borosilicate, silice fondue).<\/p>\n<p>Cependant, le verre bien que translucide n&rsquo;est pas forcement transparent, cela d\u00e9pends de son \u00e9tat de surface.\u00a0 Pour avoir une bonne vision d&rsquo;une image \u00e0 travers une pi\u00e8ce en verre il faut que les deux surfaces externes de cette pi\u00e8ce atteignent une tr\u00e8s faible rugosit\u00e9 (grains de mati\u00e8re non visibles en surface) et une tr\u00e8s bonne plan\u00e9it\u00e9 (absence de \u00ab\u00a0vagues\u00a0\u00bb).<\/p>\n<h2>Polissage m\u00e9canique<\/h2>\n<p>Pour des <a href=\"https:\/\/sinoptix.eu\/fr\/optical-components\/\">composants optiques<\/a> courant (<a href=\"https:\/\/sinoptix.eu\/fr\/optical-components\/lentilles-optiques\/\">lentilles<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/sinoptix.eu\/fr\/optical-components\/prismes\/\">prismes<\/a>) le polissage des composants s&rsquo;effectue par friction entre un outil de polissage et la surface de la mati\u00e8re, en utilisant un grain de plus en plus fin.\u00a0 Ce proc\u00e9d\u00e9, qui donne un tr\u00e8s bon rendu optique est \u00e9galement utilisable sur d&rsquo;autres types de pi\u00e8ces comme des <a href=\"https:\/\/sinoptix.eu\/fr\/travail-du-verre\/\">tubes en verre<\/a>, des anneaux en verre ou des pi\u00e8ces usin\u00e9es en verre.<\/p>\n<p>Cependant, ce proc\u00e9d\u00e9, relativement long est limit\u00e9 dans les formes de pi\u00e8ces, car il n\u00e9cessite la pr\u00e9sence d&rsquo;un contact entre l&rsquo;outil de polissage et la surface et le mouvement de celui-ci.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_11685\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11685\" class=\"wp-image-11685 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/sinoptix.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Mechanical-polishing-surface-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"quartz tube with mechanical polished surface\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sinoptix.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Mechanical-polishing-surface-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sinoptix.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Mechanical-polishing-surface-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/sinoptix.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Mechanical-polishing-surface-705x529.jpg 705w, https:\/\/sinoptix.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Mechanical-polishing-surface.jpg 807w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-11685\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Poli m\u00e9canique sur un anneau de quartz<\/p><\/div>\n<p>La photo ci-dessus, illustre la bonne qualit\u00e9 optique d&rsquo;un polissage m\u00e9canique sur un anneau de quartz, qui permet une observation nette de l&rsquo;objet \u00e0 l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur.<\/p>\n<h2>Polissage \u00e0 la flamme<\/h2>\n<p>Ainsi appel\u00e9 car il correspond \u00e0 un r\u00e9chauffement au contact d&rsquo;une flamme de chalumeau de la surface d&rsquo;une pi\u00e8ce en verre afin fondre localement la mati\u00e8re et qu&rsquo;elle se reforme de mani\u00e8re plus homog\u00e8ne.<\/p>\n<p>Cette m\u00e9thode est surtout utilis\u00e9e pour polir des bords de tubes en verre ou adoucir une surface. En zoomant sur la mati\u00e8re (voir en haut \u00e0 droite de l&rsquo;image) on aper\u00e7oit clairement des stries sur la mati\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<h2>Tableau
