Lors de la comparaison de la lumi\u00e8re avec d\u2019autres signaux (\u00e0 des fins de communication par exemple), la fr\u00e9quence sera privil\u00e9gi\u00e9e car elle est proportionnelle \u00e0 la quantit\u00e9 d\u2019informations pouvant \u00eatre transf\u00e9r\u00e9es. Alors que, pour une application optique dans l&rsquo;UV, le visible ou l&rsquo;infrarouge la longueur d&rsquo;onde sera privil\u00e9gi\u00e9e car elle est directement li\u00e9e \u00e0 la perception
