ZnS optical components

SINOPTIX supplies various optical components made of optical grade Zinc Sulfide. ZnS is a clear to slightly yellowish material, partially transparent in the visible, with two main grades : multispectral or FLIR.

Zinc Sulfide characteristics

Zinc Sulfide substrates used by SINOPTIX  are manufactured by CVD (Chemical Vacuum Deposition) technology in China.

We can propose below kinds of optical components :

Zinc Sulfide as an solution for IR applications

ZnS has a good optical transmission in the thermal IR (8 to 12µm) and mid-IR. Optical transmission can also be enhanced on the visible range with the multrispectral ZnS grade. It is therefore a very interesting material for IR / Thermal cameras and sensors.

Moreover the material can resist to harsh working conditions, which is an advantage for outdoor applications.
