Laser crystals are use in solid state lasers as a gain medium for amplifying diode pumped light. They can be couple with Non Linear crystals for providing laser output with different characteristics than the pumped light.

YAG (Yttrium Aluminium Garnet) Crystals show a very high thermal conductivity and therefore are widely used for laser pumping.

Crystal offer

Shapes

Laser crystals are manufactured form crystals boules and can be offered in different shapes. Most commun shapes are cylinders, plates, slabs, wedges, grooved rods.

Finishing

Laser crystals are high precision optics, they are delivered with :

  • flatness up to lambda/10
  • S&D down to 5/1
  • Parallelism can be better than 10 arc seconds
  • Perpendicularity 5 arc seconds

Coatings

Crystals can be provided with AR and HR coatings centered at specified wavelengths.
