research. Injection molding for small quantities is ideal for testing and research application.
Injection mold base is standard, only mold cavity is made in soft metal (often aluminium), it is cheap and can be used for small batches (several tens of parts).
In this project batch quantity was 20 lenses and total cost of the project around 2000 USD.
