X-cube prism

Optical prism that split the light in 3 different signals, widely used for RGB filters (Red, Green, Blue beamsplitter).

What is a X-Cube ?

X-cube is an optical components used to split or aggregate the light in three beams. One typical application is RGB filters, where a signal will be split into 3 signal corresponding to the Red, Green and Blue part of the original signal.

How is made X-cube ?

X-cubes are made by gluing of four edge prisms together. Each prism having a filtering coating on its glued surface which will split the signal either by transmission or reflection.

The optical glass used for manufacturing is CDGM H-K9L.
